Why teams choose SEO Tool
Every tool on every plan
No toolkits or add-ons to unlock audits, local SEO or reporting. Plans start at $49 a month and only change how much you can track.
Reporting that runs itself
Scheduled client reports by PDF or link, guest ranking links and a portfolio view, white-labelled on Agency.
Numbers you can explain
Every metric’s formula is published, including where the data comes from and why it differs from other tools.
Bring your history
Import rank history, keyword lists and backlinks from Semrush exports, so trends do not start from zero.
If you use this in Semrush, use this here
A map from the Semrush tools your team knows to where the same work happens in SEO Tool, with the differences spelled out.
Moving your data from Semrush
Most teams move a client over in an afternoon. Importing never buys data, so it does not use your allowances.
In Position Tracking, export your rankings as CSV.
In Keyword Magic Tool or Organic Research, export the keyword lists you use.
In Backlink Analytics, export Backlinks or Referring domains.
Create the project here, open Settings › Import data and upload the files; the format is detected for you.
Where the data comes from
Semrush builds its own keyword, backlink and traffic databases, including clickstream-based traffic estimates. We buy keyword, backlink and SERP data from DataForSEO, estimate traffic from rankings, and run our own crawler for audits.

When Semrush is the better choice
No tool is right for everyone. Stay with them if any of these is true.
- You need clickstream-based traffic data (referral, direct and social) for other sites. Our estimates cover search only.
- You run large paid search and social programmes and want them in the same tool as SEO.
- You need a very large toolset beyond SEO, such as social media publishing.
Pick the plan that fits
Switching from Semrush
Do you have Semrush’s traffic analytics?
We have traffic analytics for search: organic and paid estimates modelled from rankings, with top pages and markets. We do not use clickstream, so we do not show direct, referral or social traffic for other sites.
Can I import my Semrush data?
Yes: Position Tracking exports, Keyword Magic Tool and Organic Research lists, and Backlinks or Referring domains exports. How importing works.
Are local SEO tools extra?
No. Business Profile insights, posts and reviews, listings monitoring and local grids are included in every plan, within its allowances.
